Set it up in three steps

  1. Connect the printer or scanner by USB, or to the same Wi-Fi network as your PC.
  2. If Windows has not set it up by itself, install your model’s scanner driver from Epson’s support site (it comes with Epson Scan 2).
  3. Open Scan & Print and pick the device from the scanner list. Network models that support eSCL (AirScan) usually appear even without a driver.
  1. Connect the printer or scanner by USB, or to the same Wi-Fi network as your Mac.
  2. Add it in System Settings › Printers & Scanners. If it does not show up there, install Epson’s scanner driver for your model from Epson’s support site.
  3. Open Scan & Print and pick the device from the scanner list. If Image Capture can see it, so can Scan & Print.

Yes, for documents and photos on the glass, at up to 300 DPI free or 600 DPI with Pro. Film and slides need the scanner’s transparency unit, which only Epson’s own software drives.
