Set it up in three steps

  1. Connect the machine by USB, or to the same Wi-Fi or office network as your PC.
  2. If Windows has not set it up by itself, install the Full Driver & Software Package for your model from Brother’s support site.
  3. Open Scan & Print and pick the machine from the scanner list. Network models that support eSCL (AirScan) usually appear even without a driver.
  1. Connect the machine by USB, or to the same Wi-Fi or office network as your Mac.
  2. Add it in System Settings › Printers & Scanners. If it does not show up there, install Brother’s ICA scanner driver for your model.
  3. Open Scan & Print and pick the machine from the scanner list. If Image Capture can see it, so can Scan & Print.

You don’t have to choose: keep Brother iPrint&Scan for looking after the printer, and use Scan & Print for scanning.

Will it work with my Brother model?

If Windows can see your Brother scanner or all-in-one, most likely yes: Scan & Print works with any model that has a WIA driver, and with network models that speak eSCL (AirScan). The free version is the quickest way to find out.

Yes. Load a stack in the feeder and scan both sides in one pass, with blank pages skipped. All of it works in the free version; saving the stack as one PDF needs Pro.
